Three Experiences
There's a version of Akihabara
that suits where you're starting from
Whether you're arriving with no knowledge, a deep love of cosplay, or a genuine desire to understand the culture — we have something shaped around that.
Back to HomeWhat We Offer
Three things, done thoughtfully
We keep our range of experiences deliberately narrow. Rather than offering a dozen variations, we offer three — and we put the time into making each one as good as we can.
All prices are shown here in full. All sessions are led in English with Japanese available as needed. Groups are kept small so there's room to actually talk.

Good to Know
A few practical things before you book
Where do sessions take place?
All sessions start in Akihabara, Tokyo — we'll confirm the exact meeting point when you book. The Cosplay Portrait Session takes place in a studio space close to the district.
Do I need to speak Japanese?
Not at all. All sessions run in English. Our guides handle Japanese conversations with shop staff and in community spaces when useful, and will translate anything relevant.
Do I need any background knowledge of anime?
No. We ask about your background when you book so we can adjust what we cover. Complete newcomers and long-time fans both come away with something worth having.
How do I bring my own costume to the Portrait Session?
Just bring it with you. There's a changing area at the studio. If you're still looking for a costume, Akihabara has a number of shops that can help — we're happy to point you in the right direction when you enquire.
Can I book more than one experience?
Yes. Several visitors combine the Discovery Walk with the Fandom Half-Day across consecutive days. Just mention this in your message and we'll coordinate the scheduling.
How far in advance should I book?
A few days ahead is usually enough. Weekends in peak season fill faster — if you have a specific date in mind, earlier is easier. We'll let you know promptly if your preferred time isn't available.
Take the Next Step
Not sure which experience fits? Just ask.
Tell us a little about what draws you to Akihabara and what you're hoping to find there. We'll suggest what makes sense — and we're happy if that's a different option than you expected.
